Oct in Martha Vineyard

Hi

I will be going to Boston in Oct to visit my son who is a teacher there and I was hoping we could rent

a car and go to Marth V for a 3 day weekend?

Is that possible? I am not sure how far from

Boston it is- Which B and B would be good for

walking the beach and hiking ( so many say

Romantic)

yes, it is very do-able. Drive from Boston to the ferry in Woods Hole (Falmouth) is about 60 miles, depending on what time of day you leave (and day of the week) it should be about an 1.5 hour drive. You can bring the car over to the Vineyard on the ferry, or leave it in a secure parking lot in Falmouth. You should not have too much trouble getting a reservation for the car on the ferry in October. Here is the ferry link: http://www.steamshipauthority.com/ssa/sa.cfm The ferry takes 45 minutes over and you will dock either in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs, both of which have many B%26amp;Bs, as does Edgartown. There are some good reviews of Oak Bluffs Inn here at TA, and I am sure others will have some suggestions for you.
