We are planning a family-oriented trip to the Cape Cod area and don%26#39;t know where to start.
Situation - 6 adults and 3 infants (ranging from 3 months - 1 year 3 months).
Looking for: a reasonably priced resort/hotel close to a beach with decent amenities.
Budget: $200 a night or thereabouts.
Considerations: not too long of a drive from Providence airport, child-friendly (cribs etc. in rooms).
We need help picking a place to visit and a place to stay.
Family trip to where?
You won%26#39;t find a place that will allow 9 people in one room, if that%26#39;s what you had in mind. I don%26#39;t know how they would even fit standing up. Did you really mean $200 per room? You would probably need 3 rooms, so that would be $600 a night. That we could help with.
But perhaps you would want a cabin instead. Although $200 a night for that won%26#39;t stretch very far, you can certainly get a place for less than $600 a night ($4200 a week). That would be far more ';family friendly'; than a hotel.
Family trip to where?
Sorry, I guess I was not very clear. What I meant was that the budget was around $200 per couple/per night - so around 600 total per day. Also separate rooms for sure :) I would love to do cabins. So far have found the Great Harbor House in West Yarmouth. Anyone know anything about it?
For starters, check out the Cape Cod hotels link on the left side of the page. As for the not too long drive part, you do want to get to the water so that means driving 30 miles or more on the Cape to Hyannis and the ';lower cape'; or about 20 miles towards Falmouth. You will pay more if you stay on the water but if the pocketbook allows, then go for it.

Rates at about $200 per night/room on the beach in Dennisport at the end of summer. Ask for the renovated rooms...maybe all the rooms are new by now.
If you want summer cottages then just down the street on the beach and across the street from the beach are dotted the Dennis Seashores cottages. These cottages stand alone but I don%26#39;t think they have a pool. Good luck with your planning.
