If you are keen on PTown - skip Truro - not a great place with no car.

Try http://www.capeinn.com/ for affordable accomodation in Provincetown. Shuttle pick up in the motel lot takes you all the way to the beach. or walk to local bars and reaturants.

If you want quiet - try Truro. If you want PTown, Truro is the polar opposite.

You can take a bus or ferry from Boston - I take it you are traveling from Ireland to Boston? And plan to have no car?

You will be totally stuck in Truro with no car.
