I agree with the general consensus that the Doubletree was too isolated for us. We like to step out of our hotel and be in the thick of things. So while we are now considering the Marriot Residence at Tudor Wharf was wondering what you knowledgable folks think about the location of the Radisson. It has a pool and two QUEEN size beds.
What would be some ideas for walking itineraries from this property?
In addition we would appreciate mid range restaurants in the Radisson area for lunch or dinner (We have two girls ages 11 and 13). American fare, seafood and japanese work well for us as does Italian. In addition, always looking for breakfast places when we travel as hotel restaurants are usualy overpriced for breakfast.
Your expertise is truly appreciated!
I headed your advice and ditched the Doubltree Suites now...
Are you asking about the Residence Inn or the Radisson?
If you are asking about the location of the Residence Inn at Tudor Wharf. I like the location especially if you are staying here in the summer but it is a walk to many of the tourist sites and to the T stop. It is right on the Freedom Trail and very close to the North End and the USS Constitution.

Sorry for the confusion. I was asking about the Radisson.
The Radisson, to me, is positioned much better than the Tudor Inn. It is located between the Downtown and Back Bay, close to the Common and Public Garden. If you like to walk, you can walk to most any area of the city from here, whereas the Tudor Inn is kind of far out in Charlestown. It%26#39;s an easy walk to the Theater District (it actually borders it) and Chinatown as well.
You need to walk the freedom Trail, which connects many of the historic sites in the city. Stroll Newbury Street and beacon Hill. Lots to see and do.
Radisson is certainly more central than the Doubletree. You%26#39;ll easily be able to get around either by foot or by the T. Since you are coming from NJ just make sure you figure in parking fees when you decide on accommodations if you are arriving here by car.
Boston is not as spread out as NYC so you will be able to cover plenty of territory. As far as a walking itinerary, anything in particular you want to do or see?
There are plenty of places to eat. Here%26#39;s a good website that can give you some ideas. http://menutopia.com/GetVendorSelection.m
We definately will do the freedom trail! Given that we are from emtro NYC, what would be a good walking shopping itinerary that would be more than the usual chains. Does Newberry street have unique boutiques?
Also which museums are must sees?
Newbury Street does have some unique shops, although more and more ';international'; oerations are coming to Newbury Street.
';Must See'; very different museum is the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
