SOWA Open Market

Is SOWA Open Market fun ? Planning our trip to Boston June 8-15 and I was thinking since Sunday is our last day I want it to be a nice relaxing day after a probably very busy week. Also thinking about a harbour cruise and finishing with cocktails at The Seaport Hotel ( read somewhere the view is supposed to be good ) and dinner somewhere close to that. Restaurant suggestions ? A steak house maybe or seafood.

Any other suggestions on how to spend our last day in Boston ?

We`re going to do all the other tourist things such as Freedom Trail, USS Constitution, Harvard, Duck Tour and so on earlier during the week.

SOWA Open Market

Hi,

It%26#39;s OK, but very small. You can easily walk through the entire thing in 30 minutes. If you are nearby and you like flea market type things, sure it%26#39;s worth a look.

A harbor cruise is an excellent idea. In fact, you could possibly combine that with your dinner and take a cruise on the Odyssey or the Spirit of Boston cruise. The food is ok, but the cruise itself is a lot of fun.

Your next question is which one is ';better';? I can%26#39;t say. I%26#39;ve been on both and enjoyed them. They are pretty much the same.

If you do a harbor cruise, you could finish with drinks at Top of the Hub, which has fantastic views of the entire city.

As for steakhouse cuisine, my favorites in Boston are either Abe and Louie%26#39;s on Boylston St., or Fleming%26#39;s in Park Sq. For seafood places, Legal Seafood has a location right on the waterfront near the Aquarium. There%26#39;s also Atlantic Fish Company on Boylston St. (next door to Abe and Louie%26#39;s).

Which one is better? The Odyssey is a sit down dnner with a live band. The Spirit of Boston is a buffet with a disk jockey, but costs a little less. You can decide........
