Thompson's Seafood??

Years ago on our honeymoon we ate at Thompson%26#39;s--Seafood maybe? Clams? I think in Harwichport. Stayed at the Inn on Bank Street. I can%26#39;t find either as my husband and I approach our 25th anniversary (yikes! I can%26#39;t be that old!) Are either still there and just no, uh, internet presence? Convert to something else but still good? Or have I just completely lost my mind with names?

Thanks for the help!

Thompson's Seafood??

Sadly, Thompson%26#39;s Clam Bar closed in either 1990 or 1991 when a Mr. Fennel purchased the restaurant and turned it into a private club. It was a true Cape classic!

I%26#39;m not sure what became of the Inn on Bank Street.

Thompson's Seafood??

Oh no! That makes me so sad! It was the BEST clam chowder I ever had. We spent almost two weeks on the Cape and ate there several times. My husband and I are from Texas and he, in particular, has a thick East Texas accent. The first time we went we had incredible service--seemingly every waitperson in the place came and asked us if we needed anything. Finally, I asked if this was typical--and the sheepish waiter said, ';Well, no. We just want to hear you talk.'; We thought it was hilarious.

The Inn on Bank Street was close--I thought maybe it had changed hands but was still around just under a different name.

Thanks for the help--maybe someday someone will reopen it?!
