We are staying in Truro for a week in May. Can anyone recommend a really good steak restaurant on that side of the Cape
Steak
There are no steakhouses on the Outer Cape, as far as I%26#39;m aware of. That doesn%26#39;t mean you can%26#39;t get a good steak. Right in Truro, you can get a delicious Rib-Eye at Blacksmith or an aged Sirlion at Terra Luna. Those are a couple places to keep in mind. I%26#39;m sure there%26#39;s more.
SteakSorry, meant to say Blackfish, not Blacksmith. Blackfish is located in an old Blacksmith shop, thus the reason why I had Blacksmith on my mind, haha.
Not in Truro but in Chatham (been here a long long time)is Pate%26#39;s. They%26#39;re a bit of a %26#39;fuddy-duddy%26#39; place but the steaks, ribs and chops are good. In West Chatham on rte. 28 next to Cuffy%26#39;s:

Drive down to local favorite Winslow%26#39;s Tavern on Welfleet%26#39;s Main Street (less than 10 minutes from Truro). Dine al fresco on the front or back patio, or sit inside. There is a quieter area (a room past the hostess station, sharp right) you can request if the place is busy - it can be on the noisy side when crowded, but in May you should be fine. The steak on offer: Steak frites. 12oz. Certified Angus Beef, center cut choice, grilled New York strip steak served with a caramelized shallot herb or blue cheese compound butter and crispy fries
24 dollars USD and worth every penny - absolutely superb. Also for the meat lover ';Rosemary and garlic marinated grilled 10 oz. pork loin chop served with individual baked mashed potatoes and glazed tomatoes on the vine
18 bucks - also worth every penny.

Reservations not taken for small groups - but worth any possible wait - again not very likely in May.
Hope that helps!
Enjoy.
