Today someone on the Provincetown forum listed some of his/her favorite places that no longer exist. Here%26#39;s a link to some photos of Seaview Playland in Dennisport (now defunct), one of my childhood haunts that my children were also able to enjoy for a few years. Thought some other old-timers might want to see it:

Seaview Playland
That was fun!
Seaview Playland
Just home after spending a few days on the Cape and saw that they are digging up and leveling the land at Seaview Playland - does anyone know what they are planning there
Someone thought a park maybe
Maybe the gypsy fortune teller has granted my wish and they%26#39;re going to rebuild the Barn of Fun!
Thanks for the link! My children and nephews loved that place and we were all devastated when it closed. Then Bobby Briggs Wee packet... Some change is not good. I%26#39;m going to buy some of those photos!
Well, the woman who owned it died and it wasn%26#39;t all that long after that her daughter sold it. Originally Dennis bought it for a park. At least that was the vague idea. As you know the property extends all the way down across Chase to Nantucket Sound. I%26#39;ll try to remember to talk to one of the McCormick family (owners Ebb Tide, SeaView) and share any info that I get.
Yeah I believe the town owns it but I think it is in some sort of conservation trust so I assume it will not be full of condos but it seems to be the best kept secret about what the future holds for this lot
Just found this article
.....';Gardens, walking paths and a children鈥檚 play area are among the attractions of the new park.

Excellent! Thanks so much for passing the information along.
Drove by the Seaview Park today - WOW in one short week they have completed a small man-made pond out in the section closest to Lower Cty Rd and Division St. - they have what appears to be a walkway that winds over gentle hills throughout the entire property....hoping that it has ocean views while strolling...... It looks like it is going to be a beautiful park the size and setting are spectacluar.
I cant wait for it to be finished - such a nice little respite in this busy beach community
Pastiche, I used to love that place. Dennisport is sleepy and sad looking these days...I hear Bob Briggs Wee Packet is not the same. Haven%26#39;t been to Wolfie%26#39;s in years.
